Tonight sarahnucci and I volunteered at the Mormon Fort Christmas program. Quite fun, playing dress up, seeing a student (very nice kid, actually), obligatory Starbucks aftewards :)

And so, time to reveal things! What I've been working on isn't horribly complicated, but really something quite practical as far as costuming is concerned!

The knitting apron, otherwise known as the last piece I wanted done for tonight? Well, just remind me what an awful machine sewer I can be. So, no apron tonight. Just the new brown and pink cotton dress, sontag, mufatees and sortie. I think that's enough :)

It only took about half an hour to do my hair this time. I'm getting faster :)

The school librarian information meeting sounded quite promising. There is a local program--the website just hides it--and to get the endorsement it's only 7 classes. This isn't a librarian librarian job, but rather a teacher librarian job, which means I don't need a library science degree. Had one been offered here, I certainly would've done ( Read more... )

Add a too wide undersleeve to the list of things I'm sizing incorrectly! I'm just being incredibly inept, when all I really want to do is be secretive and get this done quickly. I'm still having fun with it though!

And really, I don't know why I want to be secretive. I just do! Maybe because I normally can't keep a secret?

The trim for the sontag really is done this time (well, two sides of it, the inside still needs it!) and more yarn has been bought, because I don't think I have enough. And a little crochet hook for dropped stitches and to make the ties. I can't crochet crochet because counting like that makes me cross-eyed, but I can crochet a chain ( Read more... )
